Configuring devices
Connecting the KAIZER Tracer - HFR-8000 HFR-8000X
Connect the PC to the ‘EDGER1’ (or ‘EDGER2’) port of the tracer with a crossed 9-pin DSUB serial
cable. For normal data communication, options for the ‘EDGER1’ (or ‘EDGER2’) port of the tracer
need to be set as below. The option for the other empty port should be turned off.

Connecting the KAIZER Blocker- HAB-8000 HAB-8000X HBK-410
Connect the PC to the ‘EDGER1’ port of the blocker with a crossed 9-pin DSUB serial cable. For
normal data communication, options for the ‘EDGER1’ port of the blocker need to be set as below.
The option for the other empty port should be turned off.
Setup > Preference > COMM Ports
Connecting the KAIZER Edger- HPE-8000 HPE-8000X HPE-410 HPE-810 HPE-910
Connect the PC to the ‘BLOCKER’ port of the edger with a crossed 9-pin DSUB serial cable. For
normal data communication, options for the ‘BLOCKER’ port of the edger need to be set as below.
The option for the other empty port should be turned off.
Setup > Preference > COMM Ports
